Beautifully crafted Black Walnut Plaque Blue Heron

A blue heron standing still in the shallows is about the most Louisiana thing there is — patient, unbothered, and gone the second you move too fast. This plaque catches that bird on Missouri black walnut, and the dark wood does half the work: the heron's blues and grays sit deeper and richer against it than they would on sanded top choice pine.

The plaque is cut from 1" x 8" Missouri black walnut, about 11 inches tall, and built thicker than our earlier plaques so it hangs solid. The heron image is UV printed or laser engraved depending on the design. It fits a living room, an office, a camp, or a hallway wall that needs one strong piece instead of a dozen small ones — and it makes a thoughtful gift for bird watchers, fishermen, and anyone who loves the coast.

Mounting hardware is not included. Each plaque is handmade in Bourg, Louisiana, so the grain and coloring will vary a little from the photo — no two pieces of Missouri black walnut are ever the same. Personalization is available on request; just ask.
